History
Digital Book Today was founded in 2009 by book industry veteran Anthony Wessel, whose career includes PC software with Egghead Software from 1987-1993, Borders/Waldenbooks from 1993-2002, and Digital Book Today from 2009-2023. Since 2009, Digital Book Today has had a group of contributors who have either worked in the book industry or have been avid book readers all of their lives. These include Jeff Taphorn, provider of technical support, customer strategy, and identifying industry trends. His photography research and field execution of techniques have been vital in creating the National Parks Photo Hiking Series featuring the photos of photography expert Debbie Wessel, whose research has propelled all 8 books into #1 Amazon Bestseller status. Since Anthony Wessel’s retirement in 2023, website designer and Amazon best-selling author David Korson has taken the lead in Digital Book Today’s operations, continuing the legacy of providing the best free and discounted Kindle Books and maintaining the Top 100 Best Free Kindle Books List, updated daily since 2009.
